Hunting Together RPG Beginner Guide — Start Here (2026)

Guide reviewed:

A first-session plan for Hunting Together RPG: pick a class you can play, redeem the dated codes, clear the early route, and hold refinement until the build has a direction. Class list checked October 29, 2026.

The first hour is not about reaching the next biome. It is about finding a class you can play, claiming the free potions and learning the two upgrade systems without wasting materials on a build you will replace.

Step 1

Choose a class you can actually play

Class sets your weapon and party role. If you are unsure, start with a ranged class you can aim consistently or the Swordsman if you prefer simple melee. The tier list is a shortlist, not a command.

Step 2

Redeem the dated codes, but time the potions

The codes below are the dated active record. Redeem them when you can actually use the boost; a one-hour EXP potion claimed before a ten-minute login does nothing for you.

Codes recorded .
CodeReward
HALLOWEEN3 EXP Potions + 3 Drop Potions (1 hour each; listed through Oct 31)
SORRY3EXP Potion x2 + Drop Potion x2 (1 hour each; listed through Oct 31)
SORRY2X EXP Potion + 100x L Red Potion + 100x Blue Potion (listed through Oct 30)
SORRY22X Drop Potion + 100x L Red Potion + 100x Blue Potion (listed through Oct 30)

The full redemption flow is on the codes page.

Step 3

Clear the early route before chasing bosses

  1. Start in the sky-island village and learn the shops and party menu before leaving.
  2. Hunt the forest until the basic monsters die in a predictable number of hits.
  3. Move to the desert only when the forest route is repeatable without using every potion.
  4. Treat the snowfield and volcano as later tests, and the Spooky Village as event-only content.
Step 4

Learn cards before you replace anything

Cards drop while hunting and slot into gear. Do not slot every new card: a card that does not support your class can make the build worse. Test one change on the same route and keep it only if the clear improves.

Step 5

Delay refinement until the class is a keeper

Refinement improves the weapon you already hunt with; option rerolls change one line. Save both until you have used the class for several sessions. If you are still deciding between two classes, you are not ready to spend refinement materials.

Common mistakes

What to avoid in the first sessions

  • Picking a class from a tier label without checking whether you can play its range.
  • Redeeming one-hour potions before a session you can actually finish.
  • Refining a weapon before you know the class is permanent for you.
  • Slotting every card that drops instead of testing one change at a time.
  • Treating the Halloween Spooky Village as the permanent next zone.
Common questions

FAQ

Which class should a beginner pick in Hunting Together RPG?

Pick a role you can play consistently: Swordsman for simple melee, Archer for safe ranged physical damage, or Mage for ranged magic. Cleric is the best choice if you already have friends to hunt with.

Should I redeem codes before or after choosing a class?

Redeem the EXP and Drop potions whenever you can play the session, not before a short login. Codes do not change your class choice, but potions are wasted if you cannot use the boosted time.

When should I refine my first weapon?

After you have used the weapon for several hunts and know the class is a keeper. Refining a weapon you might replace spends materials on a base you will abandon.

Do I need to buy or trade anything to progress?

No. Hunting, the dated codes, cards and refinement are the progression loop described by the developer. This site does not sell items and no code grants Robux.

Can I play with a high-level friend on day one?

Yes. The official description says party EXP is shared at any level gap, so a new character can hunt with an experienced friend.
